Powering biological methanation

Location: Glansager, Denmark
Customers: Shell Low Carbon Solutions & Andel
Status: Operating

Three 3.1 MW HydroGen Electrolysers boost Shell Low Carbon Solutions’ PtX output by injecting green hydrogen into a proven biological methanation loop. The last Stiesdal HydroGen Electrolyser was delivered in 2024 and now transforms low-cost power and captured CO₂ into pipeline-grade gas.

Hydrogen for a working port and industrial-gas offtakers

Location: Måde, Denmark
Customer: European Energy
Status: Operating

Stiesdal has installed the first electrolyser unit at the facility in Måde, European Energy’s first venture into large-scale hydrogen production using renewable energy. The green hydrogen produced at the Måde facility will be supplied to multiple offtakers, including the Port of Esbjerg and a world-leading company in industrial gases. In addition, excess heat generated from the hydrogen production process will be used by DIN Forsyning, the local heating utility, further supporting Esbjerg’s decarbonisation.

31 MW plant in pipeline

Location: Germany
Customer: Undisclosed
Status: FEED in 2025.

Stiesdal Hydrogen participated in a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for an undisclosed 31 MW project in Germany. Deliveries include detailed documentation aligned with local legislation. Hydrogen from the plant will be delivered to the hydrogen backbone pipeline.
